Jones Apparel Group Inc announced that Wal-Mart will begin carrying the l.e.i. brand for juniors, junior plus and girls in summer 2008 for Back-to- School, at Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

Wesley R. Card, Jones Apparel Group President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are enthusiastic about expanding our existing relationship with Wal-Mart, and bringing this dynamic junior lifestyle brand to a broader audience. Furthermore, we see this as a great opportunity to utilize Jones' operational skills in partnership with a retailer of Wal-Mart's size and scale.

We are confident that with this partnership with Wal-Mart, there is excellent potential to grow and leverage the strength of l.e.i. as a branded resource across categories."

Jack Gross, Jones Apparel Group Chief Executive Officer of Denim and Junior Businesses, stated, "We value our many strong merchandising relationships within the Wal-Mart organization, and are thrilled to be part of Wal-Mart's vision to increase its branded product offerings to its customers. We believe Wal-Mart's teen and juniors customers will be equally excited to have the l.e.i. brand exclusively in their stores."

l.e.i. is an acronym for LIFE, ENERGY, INTELLIGENCE . Infused with a fun, care-free attitude and a clever attention to styles and trends, the l.e.i. brand, which is based in denim, appeals to a broad-range of dynamic and spirited girls from all different backgrounds. l.e.i. is recognized all over the world as a leading designer of trend-right clothing for teen girls everywhere.

Jones Apparel Group will continue to lead the design, manufacturing and production of the l.e.i. brand.
