This year at the Winter Collections, SSAFW and Erica De Greef will be curating an exhibition of Museum Africa's collection of frocs, suits, traditional archives and collections to be viewed throughout the museum.

Stiched into historical fashion pieces are memories and meanings that, upon a closer look carry secrets of those who made them, wore them, kept them, as well as the prevailing ideologies that are hidden in their folds and shapes.
By locating contemporary designer processes within the context of Dress and Identity, these secret histories and embedded codes can be explored by show casing parallel stories, expressing similarities but also differences.
