Joan Hornig introduces jewelry collection with distinct concept

In 2003, jewelry designer Joan Hornig launched a jewelry collection with a distinct concept that has impacted the way people select jewelry in better stores throughout America.

Her idea was to design statement pieces that enhance a woman's beauty by making her feel as beautiful as she looks. How so? Joan donates 100% of her profits.

This translates into a donation of no less than 20% of the retail price. The icing on the cake: The customer selects the charity. Choose your jewelry, choose your charity.

Joan's Philanthropy is Beautiful message is carried throughout the collection in the form of 18k gold, diamonds, south sea pearls, precious, semi-precious stones and other materials such as lucite, silver and leather.

This enables women of all ages, means, and taste to join Joan in combining passion for beauty, individuality and giving back.

Joan has made the donation process simple. The buyer either selects a registered non-profit of his/her choice or can choose from the ever growing list of recipients having previously received donations through sales.

To date, over 225 organizations have been chosen to benefit from the sale of Joan Hornig Jewelry. They reflect a wide range of worthy initiatives education, medical research, health, welfare, social services agencies, the arts, animal rights, the environment just to name a few.

This list is easily accessible through Joan's e-commerce web site, which also serves as a hyperlink to the home page of every foundation which has benefited from donations generated through sales.
