Today being Akshaya Tritiya, gold jewelers across the country are looking forward to dramatically spectacular sales. The day, considered to be one of the most auspicious occasions among the Hindus, is believed to bring immense prosperity and success for any venture undertaken on this day.

The most common trend is that of buying gold which symbolizes welcoming of goddess Laxmi.

In an exclusive interview with Fibre2fashion, Mr Rahul Singh, Marketing Head of Kolkata based Ganesh Jewelry stated, “We have come up with a special offer wherein we give free gold pendent equivalent in value to the making charges for the gold item purchased. The present trend is that of light weighing gold jewelry with exotic designs and with two showrooms in the city we are expecting the sales to close at Rs30 lakh each.”

In keeping with the festive spirit Tanishq, India's largest jewellery brand has announced its special Akshaya Tritiya offer, allowing customers to usher in prosperity and enjoy pure jewelry this season.

The Akshaya Tritiya offer entitles customers to book the jewelry of their choice in advance and purchase it on Akshaya Tritiya Day at the booked rate. The pre-booking offer is valid from 29th April to 8th May 2008.

Mr Pankaj Jagawat, Director of Utssav Jewellery gave his valuable comments on the issue stating, “Our collection for the day will include special god pendants and rudraksh and we are expecting to touch sales of about 50 to 60 lakhs.”
