Royal Ascot Fashion Show 2008

New York, London, Milan, Paris and Royal Ascot: The world famous racing event is the place to see the latest in fashion this year from Tuesday 17th June to Saturday 21st June 2008, with catwalk frontliners Philip Treacy, Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson and Amanda Wakeley taking up their positions and showing off their latest collections in the Bessborough Restaurant.

Treacy's world-famous millinery is well known during the Royal Meeting – his incredible creations have adorned the world's most famous heads – their most eccentric incarnations famously worn by the late legendary fashion maven Isabella Blow.

This season he'll be joined by Westwood, universally known as the Grande Dame of British Fashion; Matthew Williamson, who regularly dresses the likes of Kylie Minogue and Sienna Miller and had Prince playing live from the front row of his spring/summer 2008 catwalk show; and Amanda Wakeley, whose gorgeous silk creations were most recently seen modelled by Dita Von Teese.

Combining luxury and elegance, the Bessborough leads the way in offering fine dining, fashion and thrilling racing. A daily fashion show, in association with Longines, Chambord and Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts, will take place in the stylish surroundings of the Restaurant located on the top floor of a triple-marquee with impressive views over the racecourse, where top models will take to the catwalk wearing the very latest women's and menswear.

"It's fantastic to see the best of Britain's fashion designers – and Treacy from Ireland too – at this most glamorous of events," says Dolly Jones, editor of VOGUE.COM "There is a natural synergy between the catwalk that appears in the enclosures of Royal Ascot every year and the actual fashion catwalk. I can't wait to see it all happen."
