Emilio Pucci, the famous Florentine label, which joined the LVMH group in 2000, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Dundas to the position of Artistic Director beginning October 1st, 2008.

Peter Dundas, who is one of the most promising designers of his generation, possesses a creative talent and personality that fit with Pucci's spirit and with its colourful and modern identity.

Based in Florence, Peter Dundas will concentrate on the development of a complete universe of ready-to-wear and accessories in order to continue the rapidly expanding dynamics of the brand which today operates 47 stores across the world.

A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, Peter collaborated with the Comédie Française before becoming a Designer for Jean-Paul Gaultier in 1992. He joined Christian Lacroix in the same position in 2000, then Roberto Cavalli in 2002 as Chief Designer until 2005. He was then Artistic Director for Emanuel Ungaro until 2007. He is currently collaborating with Revillon on a collection of furs.

Emilio Pucci thanks Matthew Williamson, artistic director of the house for 3 years, for the quality of his work which has allowed the label to develop and enhance its collections and business.
