Herberger's store scheduled to open in fall 2009

The Bon-Ton Stores Inc announced it has signed a lease with 1645 N. Spring Street, LLC, a Beaver Dam, Wisconsin based investment group, for the space formerly occupied by Wal-Mart in their Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Heritage Village Mall.

The existing 35,000 square foot Herberger's store will move into the former Wal-Mart premises attached to the mall. The Company is scheduled to take possession of the 71,500 square feet building during February 2009.

The new location will be renovated and is scheduled to open in fall 2009 under the Boston Store nameplate. The new store will include increased assortments in apparel, cosmetics, fashion accessories and home.

Bud Bergren, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are delighted to announce we have signed a lease for a new Heritage Village Mall location. This will afford us the opportunity to offer our customers in the Beaver Dam area a brand new department store, along with a greater merchandise assortment.

We are very pleased with our Heritage Village Mall location and look forward to expanding our store in this market. We believe the new store and offerings will enhance the total shopping experience for our customers in this market."

Todd Hedberg, Managing Partner, 1645 N. Spring Street, LLC, commented, "We are excited Bon-Ton is participating in the Heritage Village Mall revitalization. This momentum will help to establish the mall as the retail destination in Dodge County once again. We look forward to working with Bon-Ton over the years to come."
