Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A. Inc. announced the opening of its first store in Miami Beach, situated in the heart of South Beach at 616 Collins Avenue. The debut of the South Beach store marks the company's second South Florida location and ninth freestanding Tommy Hilfiger retail space in the United States.

"I am thrilled to be opening our South Beach store," said Tommy Hilfiger. "With more than 4,453-square-feet, the store will combine the hip and vibrant culture of South Beach with our brand's signature style. Miami is an energetic and international city, as well as the gateway to the Americas. I look forward to offering the brand's Classic American Cool design aesthetic to South Beach locals and tourists."

The store features pieces from the Tommy Hilfiger Collection as well as the best pieces from the U.S. and European sportswear and men's and women's swimwear. The store's mezzanine level houses the women's collection and also features high-end vintage clothing from some of fashion's most prominent designers.

The two-story, freestanding South Beach store's exterior features a white-trimmed, light blue facade while incorporating characteristics of South Beach's historic Art Deco design. Lush jasmine plants cascade from the rooftop, creating a lively South Florida atmosphere. The interior reflects a chic mix of modern design and mid-century furnishings incorporating both city and shore style elements. The front porch recreates the feel of the quintessential Florida Room, complete with ceiling fans and orchids.

Perfectly placed in the center of the store is a 14-foot cylindrical fish tank with exotic fish, surrounded by a mirror and white marble countertop. The floors are a mix of whitewashed oak and crisp white resin. Mid-century lighting, tented macrame fitting rooms and vintage nickel shelving are some of the details that capture the "city and shore" design concept.

The South Beach store also has a unique addition in its back courtyard, a 700-square-foot surf shop. The surf shop features men's and women's swim collections, graphic tees, vintage surfboards and swim accessories.

Tommy Hilfiger has over 850 locations worldwide. Current freestanding stores include London, New York, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Barcelona, Stockholm, Vienna, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, St. Tropez, Istanbul, Antwerp, Munich, Athens, and Madrid, among others.
