True Religion Apparel Inc announced the opening of a new branded retail store at Pioneer Place in Portland, Oregon. Located at 700 SW Fifth Avenue, the 1,700 square-foot branded store will offer shoppers the entire True Religion collection for men, women, kids, and infants including its signature jean styles, its expanding denim, sportswear and handbag collection, and a full range of licensed product, such as footwear, swimwear, headwear and fragrances.

Located in the heart of Portland's financial and retail district, Pioneer Place is a downtown mixed-use property spanning four city blocks. The Center is comprised of two four-level retail pavilions, a 60,000 square foot Saks Fifth Avenue department store, and a 16-story 284,000 square foot Class A office building. Pioneer Place offers convenient access to Highway I-5, I-84 and I-405, and to Portland's light rail system.

With a daytime population in excess of 120,000 located within walking distance to the Center, Pioneer Place is a well-recognized, heavily trafficked retail and shopping destination in the Portland marketplace. Included in the Center's 350,000 square feet of retail space are over 100 specialty stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co, each of which are exclusive to the Portland marketplace.

“We are excited to announce the opening of our Pioneer Place retail store, which marks our entrance into the Pacific Northwest marketplace,” said Jeffrey Lubell, chairman and chief executive officer of True Religion Apparel, Inc. “With 48 branded retail stores in our U.S. store base, True Religion remains very young in its retail expansion opportunity. We look forward to continuing our retail expansion at a prudent pace in order to expand our points of presence and build awareness of the True Religion brand.”

“We are very pleased with the class of branded retail stores slated to open in 2009 and our Pioneer Place branded retail store exemplifies the 'A-type' locations we seek as we grow our Consumer Direct segment,” said Michael Buckley, president of True Religion Apparel, Inc. “In addition to entering the Portland marketplace, we will expand our presence into additional new markets in 2009, including Seattle, Denver and Scottsdale. Our solid financial position ensures that we are able to secure locations in some of the finest retail centers in the country.”
