Nandita unveils Bohemian line at Lakme Fashion Week

Giving women's wear that significant characteristic Nandita Mahtani touch for Fall/Winter 2009 at Lakme Fashion Week, the designer proved that her creations still exude a very high glamour quotient. Moving away from pretty dresses, tunics, halters and kurtis, Nandita gave her ensembles some sharp touches with metallics, suede and denim.

Allowing prints to dominate, her fabric story Nandita kept to her Bohemian path but with the 21st century touch. Accessorizing her garments with lush stoles and scarves Nandita added on high socks to complete the look.

The resort cum cruise line had all the popular silhouettes - the tiny minis, the kaftans the halter pareos over the bikinis lots of braiding and embroidery that highlighted cuffs, necklines and hems. The denim line was daringly different with a braided micro skirt, a mini dress and the tiny bolero with touches of glitter. Drapes on the dresses almost gave them a sari look while the shimmering fabrics like chiffon, Lurex, silk and crepe were ideal for the holiday look.

Experienced in catering to the western as well as Indian markets, Nandita Mahatani's 'Ananya' label once gain scored high with a line of garments that will delight women all over the globe.
