A partnership agreement with I.S.F., the International Skyrunning Federation, allows the company to join as a sponsor next SKYRUNNER WORLD SERIES, the world championship runs from March to October 2009.

Vibram enters new spaces in outdoor and mountain activities, where it features a lasting presence in the service of safety, comfort and performance.

Past joining snowboard, freeride, climbing and trailrunning worlds, its partnership with ISF confirms Vibram's ability to introduce the quality of its products in most extreme and trendy sport activities.

With the recent addition of skyrunning to snowboarding, freeride, climbing and trail running, Vibram is becoming a major player in a number of increasingly popular and extreme sports. Safety, comfort and performance constitute the Vibram offer wherever mountain fans are confronted with rocks, narrow trails, ice and snow.

Vibram and skyrunning are in fact linking up again after an initial Vibram entry into the field several years ago, notably in a partnership with FILA. The world leader in soles recently signed a new partnership agreement with ISF, the International skyrunning federation.

Vibram, on hand in the up and coming sports trends
For Vibram, it is important to be actively present in the field. It is through close contact with regular users and the sponsored athletes using the products, as well as its presence in an array of events, that the brand remains informed on how each sport is evolving. Vibram will be on hand at the international skyrunning events listed below.
• Maratòn Alpina Zegama-Aizkorri (Spain)
• Vallnord SkyRace (Andorra)
• Giir di Mont SkyMarathon (Italy)
• Pikes Peak Marathon (U.S.)
• The Ben Nevis Race (U.K.)
• International SkyRace (Switzerland)
• Circuito dos 3 Cântaros SkyRace (Portugal)
• Monterosa SkyRace (Italy)
• Chaberton Marathon (France)

Vibram has undertaken a special partnership this year for the Vibram Natural Games (France) and will be present at the North Face Mont-Blanc Ultra-trail event. Vibram will also benefit from the experience and technical advice of its technical consultant Marco Olmo, the well-known champion and a leading figure in trail running, as well as from Team Vibram Sport 2000 Lafuma.

Maximum technology for better outdoor performance
The explosive growth in outdoor activities is an opportunity that Vibram has seized to go beyond current standards and offer products that are functional, suited to the activity and modern tastes, and offer high performance.

Vibram soles are scientifically designed in a partnership with laboratories for the rubber compounds and with medical institutes specialised in the biomechanics of the foot. Thanks to functional design, optimum rubber compounds targeting specific activities, the right balance of features for high performance, rigorous selection of raw materials, lab tests, etc., each Vibram sole is the product of an in-depth analysis of sporting activities and users' requirements.

70 years of experience and know-how
70 years in direct contact with the mountaineering community have put Vibram in a position to develop high-performance soles, in particular for outdoor and mountain activities.
