Designer Amanda Wakeley comes to Sopwell House

Acclaimed British designer, Amanda Wakeley, will present her latest collection at an exclusive fashion show organised by national charity, the Willow Foundation, on Tuesday June 9 at Sopwell House, Hertfordshire. This will be the first showing of the new collection since the fashion icon became owner of her own label in April this year, for the first time in over a decade.
The Willow Foundation, set up by Arsenal legend, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, provides special days for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds throughout the UK.
The charity is offering two exclusive opportunities to meet Amanda and see her latest collection at a lunch and fashion show from 12 to 4pm, and an evening event also including a fashion show from 7.30 to 10.30pm.
Alongside the fashion show, Amanda Wakeley pieces will be on sale at discounted prices, as well as a marketplace offering an exciting range of jewellery, beauty products and fashion accessories. Fifty percent of proceeds from the sale of Amanda Wakeley dresses on the day will go to the Willow Foundation.
Tickets to the ladies' lunch, including Pimm's on arrival, three course meal, wine and a Sopwell spa pass are £65. Evening tickets, also including the spa pass and Pimm's, are £25.
Charity co-founder, Megs Wilson, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to combine glamour and fun with helping the Willow Foundation to provide many more special days. We're honoured that Amanda Wakeley will be there on the day and we're sure that women from Hertfordshire and beyond will be keen to take advantage of this unique opportunity at such an exciting time for the brand."
To date the Willow Foundation has provided more than 4,500 days to people living with cancer, cystic fibrosis, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, organ failure and Huntington's, amongst other conditions.
