Brazilian accessories, footwear mark their presence at Lineapelle

On April 17th, the Brazilian components sector concluded its participation at Lineapelle – International Exhibition of finished leather, accessories, footwear, and components – in Bologna, Italy, with a positive evaluation concerning the business potential and volume resulting from the Brazilian participation.

Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (Assintecal), with the support of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex–Brasil), the participation of the components sector at Lineapelle yielded good results as regards business on the international market.

According to data compiled by Assintecal, during the international exhibition, the Brazilian components manufacturers made over 90 contacts with the foreign market, which represented about US$ 30 thousand in business for the components sector.

It is estimated that, through the exhibition, some US$ 1.2 million worth of business transactions will be generated for the Brazilian components sector over a period of 12 months. Metalúrgica Reuter, which participated at the event for the first time, took its products featuring a distinctive design. The items were developed by the company through the Inspirations Forum for Leather, Footwear, and Manufactured Goods for the summer 2010.

The components manufacturers were able to generate sales and contact various prospects from the international scene, such as: Italy, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, England, France, Tunisia, South Africa, Korea, Malaysia, Turkey, Mauritius, Poland, Singapore, Slovenia, and the United States. According to representatives of the Brazilian companies, this edition of Lineapelle provided good opportunities for the closing of business deals, with better business results than those of the previous edition.

Above all, the companies that went to Bologna concluded their participation at the exhibition with good prospects of doing business with European countries. Despite this moment of uncertainties, when the reduction in the number of visitors at international trade shows is quite noticeable, the Brazilian product stands out for meeting the high requirements of the European market in a very satisfactory way.
