Opening the Grand Finale runway of Baltimore Fashion Week will be 15 children modeling one-of-a-kind pajamas created by fashion designer Jennifer Carlino. The young models will depict the waking up from a dream to find out it has come true. Three of those children are enrolled in the Casey Cares Foundation and battling life threatening diseases, including Josh Carlino, the designer's five year old son.

Ms. Carlino produced this collection especially for the Kamis Jammies Program, one of six programs of the Casey Cares Foundation which provides uplifting programs for critically ill children and their families. Named in memory of a Casey Cares child, Kami's Jammies provides new sleepwear and themed pajama parties to pediatric hospital patients.

Ms. Carlino is the owner of a local loungewear company called Sheet Pants, Inc.

“I am the mother of an amazing five year old boy diagnosed recently with Stage III Wilms Tumor,” stated Ms. Carlino, “Throughout these difficult times my family has been overwhelmed by the kindness, support and generosity of organizations like Casey Cares. I am honored, humbled and grateful to be chosen to design pajamas that would make these families days and nights a little brighter…”

Casey Cares is receiving a portion of the proceeds from Baltimore Fashion Week.

Baltimore Fashion Week takes place at The War Memorial Building, 101 North Gay Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. The Grand Finale will be held Friday, August 14th, 2009.
