Film star and entrepreneur Arjun Rampal, and the restaurateur A.D. Singh announced the launch of the capital's most awaited, entertainment destination, the LAP Restaurant and Club. LAP is Arjun Rampal's first entrepreneurial venture, in partnership with the noted restaurateur A.D. Singh. The members' only property will be officially unveiled on the 28th of August at the Hotel Samrat in New Delhi.

The restaurant and club property is positioned as an exclusive members club; guests will be invited to become members by a screening committee comprising eminent names. In addition, guests seeking membership can be proposed by one existing member of LAP.

The club, places a premium on exclusivity and on the privacy of its elite membership. It is a place for guests to indulge in and, in turn, be indulged. The staff have been trained to be attentive without being intrusive, the food fabulous and the music and ambience par excellence. This will be a place where members rub shoulders with their own, with film stars and supermodels. LAP is intimate yet extradordinary with vigorous attention to the art on the walls, exclusively designed and produced pieces of furniture and chandeliers made with CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements , the excellent sound systems and the exhaustive liquor and beverage menu. Guests can choose from an eclectic, international menu (foi gras burgers, wagyu, sensous pasta's and more)

Speaking on the occasion, Arjun Rampal said, “LAP is a concept that is close to my heart. I have always felt the need for an entertainment destination in India, which not onl y offers the best of international music, cuisine and ambience, but also a space which is very private and discreet and where people can truly let their hair down.”

On his association with A. D. Singh for his new venture Arjun Rampal said “I am delighted to have A.D Singh onboard as a partner, a veteran in the hospitality business, whose expertise will be extremely valuable for the brand. Not only is A.D. an expert restaurateur but he also understands the business of entertainment and the nuances and pre-requisites to set up an entertainment concept which is truly global in its execution.”

“The Lap restaurant showcases masterpieces of decor made with CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements. Each piece has been customized specially for the restaurant by the company, leading designers and celebrities - Arjun Rampal, Gauri Khan, Rohit Bal and Tarun Tahiliani. These pieces celebrate excellence in interior design and showcase a new direction” says Sanjay Sharma, Country Manager - CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements.

LAP is the collaboration of the best in concept as well as design sensibilities. The decor of LAP is vigorously decadent with sweeping art deco undertones. The interiors are plush and designed for louche lounging . The tables at LAP have been designed, by Arjun Rampal, Gauri Khan, Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal. Each table thus, carries its own unique sensibility heightened by ceilings resplendent in dazzling, low-hanging chandeliers in burnt honey tones.
