Torrid in search for new plus-size model

Jul '10
Torrid, the destination for plus-size fashion and denim, continues the search for the new face of Torrid with the 2010 House of Dreams Model Search. On July 16th through 18th, Torrid stores nationwide will be accepting in-person applications for America's premier plus-size model search.

Torrid is looking to champion one curvy trendsetter to realize and live her dream of becoming a model. Celebrating curvy girls everywhere, Torrid will be holding Three Days of Fashion, beginning July 16th through the weekend. Each day, Torrid stores across the country will be accepting applications while hosting denim fittings, get-the-look styling and make up tips from Torrid's style experts. Last year, thousands of young women entered Torrid's House of Dreams Model Search. Setting a new record for the brand and for plus-size model competitions, several past finalists have already been signed with top modeling agencies such as Wilhelmina International Inc and Ford Models

This year, Torrid is enlisting America's help to narrow down the competition by hosting a place on Torrid.com where fans and friends can vote for their favorite contestant. Online voting will begin on August 16th and Torrid's 2010 House of Dreams finalists will be chosen that same month. Finalists will receive a trip to Los Angeles to participate in an exclusive photo shoot with Torrid.com and one winner will be chosen for a trip to New York and meetings with top models and influencers in the industry.

Visit Torrid.com for more information about the 2010 House of Dreams Model Search and the latest in plus-size fashion and denim. Mail-in and online applications will be accepted beginning July 19, 2010 through August 6, 2010.

Torrid is the destination for fashion and denim in sizes 12–28. Torrid, the second division of national retailer Hot Topic, Inc., provides size 12+ fashion-forward apparel and accessories for young curvy women. As of July 2010, Torrid operates over 150 stores and an Internet store.
