Trussardi is delighted to be the special guest at Pitti Uomo 79, which will take place in Florence in January 2011 from the 11th – 14th. Trussardi's participation in this prestigious event will launch the centennial celebrations for the Trussardi Group, which was founded in Bergamo in 1911.

The project, which will involve the four worlds of fashion, art, food and design in which Trussardi has been working for years to redefine the “Made in Italy” concept, will be mainly showcased in the Leopolda Station, which will become the home of the Trussardi world. More details about the project will be provided during several international press conferences held during November 2010.

"The group's excellences –Trussardi 1911 collections, the activities of the Nicola Trussardi Foundation, Trussardi's food, and Trussardi Design – will be the protagonists of a new approach to the “Made in Italy” concept,” said Beatrice Trussardi, President and CEO of the group. "We're very proud to begin our centennial year with Pitti, a prestigious institution that promotes culture through fashion, art, and contemporary languages. It will be a very important year for us, and we're delighted that all will start in Florence.”

“We're honored that Trussardi chose Pitti Uomo and Florence to begin its centennial celebrations” added Gaetano Marzotto, President of Pitti Immagine. “Our two groups share several things – our work in the fashion world and our relations with our cities – and it will be interesting to see how this partnership develops.”

The Trussardi 1911 line is the brainchild of the brand's creative director, Milan Vukmirovic. Since its debut as a capsule collection in 2008, Trussardi 1911 has steadily expanded its range and scope, season after season.
