Kim Jones, the Fendi artistic director of couture and womenswear, collaborated with composer Max Richter to create a unique and memorable experience for this season's haute couture show. The theme of ‘precision and emotion’ showcases a blend of meticulous craftsmanship and heartfelt expression in the new collection.

Inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s futurism at Fendi, Kim Jones celebrates the humanism at the heart of this future. “There’s the body, the silhouette within the silhouette, the person and the handwork of the couture. The collection is about structure and decoration, where the two become indivisible,” as per the press release.

With shimmering construction, the Fendi Couture silhouettes appeared to dance across water. The show began and ended with a new Scatola (box), silhouette, introducing geometric pattern cutting. Supple crocodile traveled through the entire collection, and embroideries like a second skin emphasised each movement of the wearer with extreme precision. Feather-like fringe draped silhouettes with ultra-light fluidity. Transparency brings body and garments together as one. Shibari tops demurely reveal the beauty of busts, while cashmere and vicuna dresses follow each curve.

The palette evolves from darkness to light, culminating in shimmering silver, elevated with precious accessories designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Fendi artistic director of jewellery. Baguette bags designed by Fendi artistic director of accessories and menswear Silva Venturini Fendi echo clothing materials, from crocodile to embroideries. Fendi Gems Baguette bags make their catwalk debut, and an eye-catching Mini Baguette bag stood out with exquisite craftsmanship, including a diamond-pave-encrusted buckle.
