Paris and Miami rule 080 Barcelonan Fashion day 4 shows

The magical City of Lights, Paris, played as muse behind Spanish designer Guillermina Baeza’s latest summer 2015 swimwear collection Le Voyage, presented on the penultimate day of 080 Barcelona Fashion.

Replete with handcrafted details, the retro style pieces, with a contemporary feel, were incorporated with crocheted metal inlays, ruffles, floral prints, buttons, and poplin, jacquard and lycra fabrics. Based on hues of mauve, orange, brown, gray and sea green with metallic touches of gold and silver threads, the range included bikinis, monokinis and low-backed trikinis.

Criminals on a vacation in Miami, was the main driving concept behind Barcelonan designer Krizia Robustella’s latest Miami Riot collection. The sports deluxe brand featured jackets, beach dresses, tracksuits and suits decorated with vibrant beach inspired prints.

Fashion designer Natalie Capell presented a line of dresses and separates. Titled as Wind, the airy pieces were made using lightweight tulles, silks, lace, lycra and knits in hand dyed pale gray, pink and blue colours.

Galicia-raised designer Manuel Bolaño’s teenage-inspired collection The boy with sad eyes was made from jacquard, organza, cotton, denim and polyester silk fabrics sourced from the Barcelona-based textile store Gratacós. Based in a palette of black, burgundy and pale pink with a shimmer of metallic gold, the 27-piece range included short skirts, pants and jackets.

In addition to the above mentioned names, labels like Punto Blanco (menswear designer), Slazenger, Celia Vela, Zazo and Brull, and Brain and Beast also displayed their innovative arrays of S/S creations on the fourth day of the Catalan soiree.
