Washim Mia, Staff Correspondent (RMG Times)  5 days long training on “SA 8000: Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course” held in Dhaka. The training started on 11 January 2018 and ended on 15 January 2018 with the evaluation exam in ‘Hotel High Garden’ Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

This training was organized by Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS) accredited United States of America based NGO, Social Accountability International (SAI).

Mr. Abdul Alim, Lead Trainer and Bangladesh representative of SAI conducted the training participated by 13 delegates from different brands of garment industries, buying houses, factories and third party audit companies. There were 12 delegates from Bangladesh and one delegate from India.

Mr. Abdul Alim said to the RMG Times, “The 5 days long training on the standard of SA 8000: Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course has become very popular worldwide. It is very important for the auditors to pass the training in order to visit compliance in different export oriented garments industries and factories as well. Those who have keen interest to work with compliance audit should take part in this course because it provides an international recognition to them for being an auditor”.
