Italian fashion label OVS sets up shop in Punjab

Italian fashion apparel brand OVS debuted in India's Punjab with launch of its first outlet in Amritsar, one of the principal commercial towns of the state. Offering collections for men, women and teenagers, the store would offer the visitors a unique Italian fashion shopping experience.
Set up in the Alpha One Mall of Amritsar, the new outlet spans on an area of over 3,400 sq feet. Already operating in key cities like Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Surat, this is the eighth store that the brand has opened in India.
Speaking at launch of the OVS Amritsar outlet, OVS India CEO Daniele Piatto said they are delighted to present the OVS brand to the youth of Punjab. OVS, he said, is a global fast-fashion concept, and the Amritsar outlet provides a one-stop solution for most modern apparel and accessory trends for men, women and teenagers.
Stylish, trendy and inexpensive are the core values of OVS and it is from these features that OVS gains strength to offer better value goods, meeting international product and performance norms, he said.
OVS is one of the four unique labels operating under Gruppo Coin, an Italian apparel market leader holding 6.2 percent market share. With an annual turnover of €1,736 million, Gruppo Coin is Italy's major fashion retail destination, operating 492 outlets in Italy and another 69 stores overseas.
OVS has gained ground as a major fashion label in key markets like Rome, Venice, Milan, Florence, Shanghai and Paris. It now proposes to expand its presence in India by setting up outlets in Ludhiana, Indore, Jalandhar, Aurangabad, Raipur, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune.
