Louis Vuitton, one of the world's leading fashion houses, has collaborated with Japanese artist-writer Yayoi Kusama for a new line of apparel that will imbibe the 83-year-old artist's bold signature pattern.
The French fashion house unveiled images of the two collections that are to be launched in collaboration with Yayoi. The collections include a range of apparel and accessories to be launched in July, followed by monogrammed leather pieces to be launched in the fall.
The Louis Vuitton collection featuring Yayoi's signature styles on skirts, leggings and tops will be launched on July 10, said Marc Jacobs, the Creative Director of the luxury fashion house, who worked with Yayoi last year.
The latest collaboration with Yayaoi is Louis Vuitton's most notable association with a Japanese artist since it partnered pop artist Takashi Murakami for cartoon-inspired, rainbow-coloured apparel pieces.
Louis Vuitton sells its apparel and accessories through standalone outlets, concession stores and the e-commerce section on its website.
