Custom Synthetic Fibers opens recycled polyester plant

Custom Synthetic Fibers, has announced a new recycled polyester fibre plant in Rogersville, Alabama. The plant is expected to begin its operations in summer 2016.

The new plant will produce 40 million pounds of recycled polyester staple fibre annually for sale into a variety of applications including apparel, home furnishing, automotive, industrial and consumer goods.

The 80,000 square foot facility is sized to allow for future fibre line expansion of an additional eighty million pounds.

“We are extremely excited to announce the impending operational start-up of Custom Synthetic Fibers. Our plant will produce high quality recycled polyester fibre by incorporating recycled polyester raw materials in an environmentally friendly and cost effective manner,” said Joseph Ku, chief executive officer of Custom Synthetic Fibers.

“Our state of the art technology will enable our customers to benefit from fibre in various denier sizes to meet their stringent quality and consistency requirements,” Ku added. (NA)
