Eleksen honored for design applications & iPod Controller

Eleksen Group plc the inventor and manufacturer of ElekTex smart fabric touchpads for consumer electronics announced it has been chosen by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA ) as an International CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its iPod controller.
Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a pre-eminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics.
Eleksen's products will be highlighted at the 2007 International CES, which runs January 8-11, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Innovations Plus at the Sands, which showcases the hottest technologies in the consumer electronics industry.
This and other accolades have been won by Eleksen as a result of the company's product innovation and unique capabilities and the new business opportunities in interactive apparel and soft-goods accessories for both consumer and industrial products that they offer. Eleksen is turning its designs into viable commercial products such as wearable electronics and wireless fabric keyboards.
Eleksen's standard iPod controllers which have secured this award were developed to simplify the integration of interactive controls for iPod into apparel and soft-goods and make it easy for manufacturers to exploit the lucrative market for iPod accessories and wearable electronics.
Similarly, Electronics Weekly recently named Eleksen as a finalist for the Design Application of the Year category for its Elektra 06 European Electronics Industry Awards.
