ECCO expands ties with PixelMEDIA for eCommerce applications

International shoes manufacturer ECCO Shoes will be expanding its ongoing engagement with PixelMEDIA by developing an eCommerce application to support the company's online institutional sales efforts in Canada.

ECCO chose to work with PixelMEDIA on its Canadian eCommerce efforts based on the success of the eCommerce application PixelMEDIA developed for ECCO USA. PixelMEDIA is a full service consultancy offering integrated strategy, design, and implementation services for web, multimedia, and IT initiatives.

The ECCO USA eCommerce solution includes an elegantly branded web interface, full product catalog, and robust shopping cart along with two-way inventory feeds and integration into backend SAP systems. As part of the ECCO Canada engagement, PixelMEDIA will be leveraging the eCommerce infrastructure created for the eccousa.com web store to enable ECCO Canada to begin selling product online to its institutional customer base.

The scope of the ECCO Canada engagement will include

-- Development of an eCommerce application customized for the Canadian market

-- French Canadian and English versions of the site.

-- Development of a system tailored specifically for affiliate institution employees to purchase ECCO catalog products online at a discount.

-- Validation capabilities to ensure only employees from affiliated partners have access to institutional offers and discounts.

-- Specialty site featuring customized and unique products for institutional clients.
