Asia’s first solar power-enabled textile factory—the Jai Bhawani Women's Cooperative Textile Mill—is coming up in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district. Spread across thirty acres, the mill will manufacture cloth from cotton procured from the district, which leads in cotton production in the state. Ginning, pressing, weaving and spinning will be done in the mill.

Chairman of the textile mill Sampriya Rahul Patil said the cost of the project is ₹100 crore, according to media reports from the state.
