Spandex prices stay steady in Asian markets last fortnight

The prices of spandex remained stable in Asian markets during the last fortnight ending November 15, 2013 compared to the fortnight ending October 31, due to sporadic trading volume.

In export market, selling offers for coarser count like 20 D were assessed in the range of US$ 8.40/kg to US$ 9.20/kg, while the deals were mainly concluded in the range of US$ 8.35/kg to US$ 9.15/kg.

During the entire fortnight, selling offers for 30 D kept steady at US$ 7.40/kg to US$ 7.80/kg, but the deals were mainly concluded in the range of US$ 7.35/kg to US$ 7.75/kg.

Similarly, selling offers for 40 D Spandex kept stable in the range of US$ 6.80/kg to US$ 7.80/kg during the fortnight, but deals mainly concluded in the range of US$ 6.75/kg to US$ 7.75/kg.

Spandex prices also remained steady in the Chinese domestic market during the fortnight ending November 15. Selling offers for 20 D were in the range of RMB 60,000/ton to RMB 65,500/ton. For 30 D, selling offers were in the range of RMB 55,500/ton to RMB 56,500/ton.

For 40 D, selling offers hovered in the range of RMB 52,000/ton to RMB 53,000/ton, whereas 70 D varieties were mainly traded in the range of RMB 49,500/ton to RMB 50,000/ton, during the fortnight.
