Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh to host three seminars

The fourth edition of Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh to be held on October 7 and 8, 2015 in Bangladesh will see three seminars and a fashion contest for budding graduate designers.
The first seminar will be held on October 7 at 4.30 pm on 'Re-Definition of Denim' and will be presented by reputed denim consultant from Turkey, Zafer Bozdag.
“He will be sharing and presenting on the latest looks of denim apparel from some of the top denim brands that are redefining denim,” a press release from the organiser stated.
The second seminar will be held on October 8 at 11 am titled 'Profitable environmentally sustainable denim washing' which has been sponsored by GIZ PSES.
Delegates will have the opportunity to hear of recent developments in washing chemistry and technology and to discuss what is practical and possible with denim washing plant operators and managers.
Another seminar also on October 8 at 12.15 pm will be presented by Christian Schimper of Acticell who will speak on 'Bridging research in cellulose chemistry for denim applications'.
This edition of Denimsandjeans Bangladesh will also see a contest by the young and budding designers from different fashion universities of Bangladesh.
The students will bring out a design relevant to the show and its theme and the creators of best three designs will be awarded.
Sandeep Agarwal, founder of Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh said, "This contest will enable the students from the fashion universities to be connected with the latest global denim fashion trends.”
“It will also help them show their designs to the important visitors and brands from around the world and we encourage the development of local talent and connect it with the rest of the world,” he added.
The theme of Denimsandjeans.com is 'Denim Playground Dhaka' where exhibitors from around the world will show their sporty innovations to visitors from Bangladesh and across the globe.
28 companies from around the globe have signed up to showcase their products in the October 2015 edition of the trade show. (AR)
