The world’s second biggest garment-textile machinery exhibition will have over 150,000 visitors from the entire textile value chain from 93 countries. Seminars, panel discussions and workshops along with product launches and live demonstrations of products will also be carried out at the event.
At an event held to introduce India ITME 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam, Seema Srivastava, executive director of India ITME Society, said that multiple companies in India are eyeing investment options in Vietnam and are interested in exporting textile and garment machines to the country. She believes that this is a favourable time to boost cooperation between the two countries in the textile sector.
Indian and Vietnamese textile and apparel sector can be complementary to each other and work for mutual benefits. It is because the Indian textile sector is stronger on the raw material side while Vietnam is known for stitching apparel for exports. (KD)
