Since last 21 years, the India Knit Fair Association has been conducting India Knit Fair that attracts buyers from various parts of the world. The international fair will be inaugurated by the chief commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore, TP Krishnakumar.
Increasing dependency on cotton-based knitwear products has reduced the export opportunities. However, the situation can be altered if focused is shifted towards man-made fibres, said A Shaktivel, India Knit Wear Fair Association chairman, according to media reports.
The fair has already attained prominence in the global arena and the participants would be displaying their innovative collections including pullovers, cardigans, dresses, skirts, hooded t-shirts, shorts, pajamas, ensembles, blouses, golfing polo shirts, innerwears, boxers, shorts, nightwears and leggings among others apart from an extensive collection of cotton blended garments for men, women, children and babies.
