Mutoh to show digital textile printers at Fespa 2019 expo

Mutoh, a Japan-based leading supplier of digital printers with R&D and manufacturing experience, will present latest UV LED, sign & display, digital transfer, and direct-to-textile print equipment at Fespa global print expo, in hall B5, stand F29. The international wide format professional printing exhibition will be held from May 14-17, 2019, in Munich.

The Mutoh booth will feature a wide range of digital inkjet solutions covering Mutoh’s different product clusters. The company will première the new 64” wide ValueJet 1627MH hybrid inkjet printer, featuring a hot air knife media drying system and unique CMYK + White resin-based inks, enabling direct printing on the widest range of white, transparent and coloured rigid & roll substrates. The new Mutoh VJ-1627MH is equally suited for sign & display print shops for the production of both indoor and long-term outdoor prints, as well as for graphic companies looking for a digital solution for proofing or short-run production of packaging prototypes or customised labels, even for industrial businesses specialised in thermo-forming, the company said in a media statement.

The company will also display the ValueJet 426UF and ValueJet 626UF direct-to-object UV LED desktop printers. With a print size of A3+ and A2 respectively, these printers allow direct printing on objects up to 70 and 150 mm thick and offer CMYK + white + clear inks. They are particularly suited for printing customised promo gifts and a wide variety of personalised products.

Mutoh will present the ValueJet 1638UR roll-to-roll UV LED printer for prints with high added value. This 64” wide dual head printer has been developed for the commercial print and sign & display markets. It uses Mutoh’s flexible UV LED CMYK, White and Clear 0 per cent VOC inks which enable printing on transparent media and non-white substrates, multi-layer printing and spot varnish effects.

The PerformanceJet 2508UF true flatbed printer with a print bed of 8’ x 4’ combining a set of powerful features to maximise productivity will also be part of the show. Mutoh will be presenting the made-in-Japan professional ValueJet sign & display printer range for indoor and outdoor commercial print and print-to-cut applications, ranging from 24” up to 102” print widths. Ever since 2007, more than 15000 ValueJet printers were installed in Europe only.
Showstoppers will be the award winning 64” wide ValueJet 1624X single head and ValueJet 1638X dual head printers.

Mutoh printer and cutter combo solutions offer the highest level of flexibility for print, cut and print-to-cut applications. The Mutoh print & cut combos offer either a semi-automated or fully automated workflow with barcode recognition, controlled from one single production software. Mutoh cutting plotters - available in widths from 77 cm to 190 cm (30” - 75”) - are fit for vinyl cutting as well as for contour-cut and through-cut applications. They all integrate a laser sensor which will recognise registration marks on preprinted graphics. This way, the cutter will know perfectly in which area it will have to do contour-cutting or through-cutting.

Visitors will be able to discover the high speed ValueJet 1948WX digital dye sublimation printer, offering sellable print speeds up to 125 square metres/hour and top speeds of 195 square metres/hour. The robust & industrial VJ-1948WX (75” – 1910 mm wide) dye sublimation printer is a top choice for production-oriented customers and businesses looking for a high quality volume printer for intensive use.

For direct-to-textile print applications, including natural fabrics such as cotton, Mutoh will present the 75” (1910 mm) wide ValueJet 1938TX printer. It is specifically targeted at sampling of short-run on-demand & local digital production of garments, upholstery, fashion, swimwear, interior deco fabrics, home textiles, flags, and so on. (GK)
