“From pixel to product” presentation
There will also be another edition of the “From pixel to product” presentation which shows the digital workflow from digital image via image processing to the final product and the moving image. During the photo shoot, both photo motifs and moving images will be produced. Visitors will witness a live production in a professional photographer's studio, followed by image processing, the preparation of the data for printing and finally printing on different exhibits including textiles, film, photo plates, paper or cups. The products will subsequently be presented at the fair, and video clips will be shown on several screens.

The digital printing segment will likewise include a series of lectures to complement the exhibition. Participants of the Customised Printing Workshop will have a full day on the topic of customised design. Speakers from the industry will give lectures on customising and finishing technologies, production processes and machine technology and present customised furnishing solutions and designs for shops and exhibitions.
The exhibitors will also take part presenting up-to-date practical examples. For the first time, the Textile Summit will also be held at viscom. The topics here are trends and innovations in textile printing, modern materials, processing possibilities and printing technologies.
A novelty at viscom düsseldorf 2011 is Lunch & Learn which takes place every day between 12.00 noon and 1.00 p.m. and combines lunch break and education. The “Lunch & Learn” area is located immediately adjacent to the Customised Design Forum, with its design produced with the help of digital printing techniques. Here exhibitors can sit down at the lunch table with up to eight people and present their topics, listen to the opinions of their customers and discuss ideas for new products. Customised printing will also feature among the topics here. Visitors have the opportunity to ask questions in this small circle, supply ideas and express their own wishes.
