Atul-Rudolf joint venture to produce textile chemicals

Atul Ltd, part of a US$1.5 billion Lalbhai Group, is one of the oldest business houses of India. Established in 1947, Atul became the first Indian company to manufacture dyes on a large-scale in India and produces a complete range of dyes and auxiliary chemicals for Textile and Paper industries. Atul Colors specializes in product ranges like Vat, Sulphur and Reactive dyes which meet global safety standards and exports nearly 45 % of the products to more than 50 countries. Continuous process improvements have enabled the Division to emerge as the largest manufacturer of Vat dyes and Sulphur black in India and a leader in coloration chemicals.

Rudolf GmbH established in 1922 in Germany, having more than 20 subsidiary companies and Joint Ventures is represented in all continents by production sites so as to effectively service local customers. Rudolf, with its international brand image and having a full range of technically proven Textile Chemicals, is especially known for its range of finishing and effect chemicals required for Technical Textiles, a fast growing market in India.

Textile chemicals supplied by the new joint venture company coupled with dyes supplied by Atul Colors will together offer a comprehensive range of products to customers across India. Rudolf Atul Chemicals Ltd, the joint venture company, will become a total solution provider and help the two partners to participate in the growing market of textile chemicals in the country.

Atul Ltd is a member of Lalbhai Group, one of the oldest business houses of India. The Company provides innovative chemistry and manufacturing solutions to agriculture, automobile, construction, cosmetic, food & beverage, fragrance, marine, packaging, paper, pharmaceutical, textile and other industries.
