In April, International Cotton Association (ICA) announced the creation of 'The ICA Bremen International Quality Testing and Research Centre'.
The Bremer Baumwollbörse (BBB) and the International Cotton Association (ICA) have agreed on the establishment of a joint-venture on research and development as well as worldwide harmonisation of instrumental fibre testing in April 2011.
We can now confirm that the centre (known as 'ICA Bremen' for short) will be operational from 4 October 2011.
Based at the existing, state of the art laboratory facilities in Bremen, Germany, the centre combines the global reach of the ICA with the technical expertise of Bremer Baumwollboerse and the Bremen Fibre Institute (FIBRE) to provide an international centre of excellence for cotton testing, research and quality training.
The ICA is the world's leading international cotton trade association and arbitral body. We carry 170 years of history and a clear mission for the future to protect the legitimate interests of all those involved in the cotton trade.
