Most raw materials in polyester value chain still on downside

Paraxylene (PX) price remained soft. In Asian markets and was assessed at US$ 1630/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1625/ton to US$ 1635/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1635/ton to US$ 1645/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to near US$ 1630/ton.

In S E Asia, PTA price declined. In Chinese market, offer price hovered in between RMB 9250/ton to RMB 9350/ton. In Asian market, PTA price fell to in between US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1195/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1190/ton.

Ethylene price was stable at US$ 1070/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 925/ton to € 935/ton. Imported MEG (FD N W E base) was in between US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In U.S.A domestic market selling offers were in the range of 49.50 cents/pound to 50.00 cents/pound.

MEG price declined to US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1235/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG was declined in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton and in domestic Chinese market; price was in the range of RMB 9250/ton to RMB 9350/ton.

BGPET Chips price was stable in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1785/ton to US$ 1795/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1795/ton for export goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 13300/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable at US$ 1735/ton to US$ 1745/ton and in Indian market FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1710/ton to US$ 1720/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12900/ton to RMB 13000/ton.

PSF price continued to descend in Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1930/ton to US$ 1940/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1935/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 13300/ton to RMB 13500/ton.

Polyester yarn prices dipped in Chinese domestic market. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 13800/ton and RMB 14250/ton. Selling offers for DTY were down to RMB 15950/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1890/ton, 1945/ton and US$ 2185/ton, respectively.
