II Textile Recycling Awards Humana announced

One of the objectives of the Open Day was to show employees of Humana management process of the clothing that allows the collection of resources for development cooperation. More than 140 representatives of local councils and business partners participated in this conference organized in central L'Ametlla classification (Barcelona), Leganés and Valderrubio (Granada), in an event that joined the team for Humana.

II Textile Recycling Awards Humana
The conference provided a framework, in addition to the delivery of the Prize II Textile Recycling Humana, which recognize those public and private partners that best figures recorded in 2010 in regard to collection of used clothing and shoes. With this award, Humana wants to acknowledge the collaboration of citizens, municipalities and businesses in the textile recycling sector and development cooperation.

The winners were as follows:

*Municipalities Contributors (With the collaboration agreement)
-Increased number of kilos per inhabitant: Villaviciosa de Odon, Valdemorillo and San Sebastian de los Reyes
-Increased growth in 2010 (about 2009): Yuncos
-Increased number of kilos collected: Alcobendas, Torrejón de Ardoz, and Rivas Vaciamadrid

Launch Partners
-Increased number of kilos per container: Parish of Our Lady of Peace (Madrid)
'Major growth in 2010: Parish of Our Lady of Buenavista (Getafe)
-Increased number of kilos collected in 2010: Carrefour Madrid, Single Area Health Service of Madrid

*Municipalities without cooperation agreement but with containers
-Increased number of kilos collected in 2010: Municipality of Madrid, Municipality of Mostoles

*Special Awards
Award-socio-environmental responsibility: Ayuntamiento de Las Rozas de Madrid
-Special Award to the City of Leganés.
Award-Telemadrid to the media in solidarity.

*Municipalities Contributors (With the collaboration agreement)
-Increased number of kilos per inhabitant: Rellinars
-Increased growth in 2010 (compared to 2009): Cubelles
-Increased number of kilos collected: Cerdanyola del Vallès, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Reus
