The cationic yarn market in China saw improved sales during the week ending October 16, 2011. The number of inquires from buyers also increased.
The market price of FDY63D, which was much in demand, was 16100-16200 Yuan/ton. The price of FDY100D and 150D were 15600 Yuan/ton and 15200 Yuan/ton, respectively.
FDY75D was most actively traded as it is widely used in downstream sector. It is mainly woven with polyester DTY75D to produce jacquard lining. At present, sales of cationic jacquard lining series are more than conventional lining fabrics made using semi-dull FDY.
DTY150D and 200D had limited demand, while there was hardly any demand for other products.
Industry analysts opine that cationic yarn market is likely to improve in the second half of present week as downstream weaving factories have fewer inventories for production.
