Raw material prices in polyester value chain dip

Paraxylene (PX) price went down in Asian markets and stood at US$ 1590/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1585/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1580/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to near US$ 1585ton.

In S E Asia, PTA price went down. In Chinese market, offer price hovered in between RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton. In Asian market, PTA price was in between US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1195/ton.

Ethylene price declined slowly to US$ 1040/ton, in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 920/ton to € 925/ton. In the N W European market, Ethylene price was at US$ 1245/ton (on CIF base). In U.S.A market, Ethylene price was in the range of 48.25 cents/pound to 49.50 cents/pound.

MEG price declined sharply to US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG was in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton and in domestic Chinese market; price was in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9450/ton. In U.S.A market selling offers were around 50 cents/pound.

BGPET Chips price was stable in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1730/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1725/ton for export goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 12400/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets was stable at US$ 1715/ton to US$ 1725/ton and in Indian market FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1685/ton to US$ 1690/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12350/ton to RMB 12450/ton.

PSF price went down in Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1845/ton to US$ 1850/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1850/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 12750/ton to RMB 12800/ton.

Polyester yarn price declined in Chinese domestic market. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 13500/ton and RMB 13800/ton. Selling offers for DTY were down to RMB 15700/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1840/ton, 1870/ton and US$ 2140/ton, respectively.
