In the first eight months of 2011, Vietnam's fabric imports from China amounted to US $1.88 billion, accounting for 12.34 percent of Vietnam's total imports of goods, according to data from Vietnamese General Statistics Office.
Primary imports from China were machinery, worth US $3.3 billion, accounting for 21.7 percent of Vietnam's total imports of goods.
Vietnam imported US $2.17 billion of goods from China in August this year, up 13.84 percent compared with the previous month.
Vietnam imported US $15.2 billion of goods from China in the first eight months, accounting for 22.51 percent of Vietnam's total imports of goods, representing a 21.65 percent growth over the same period last year.
