Lee Hansen of Meriturn and Chairman of Johnston Textiles has appointed Jim Morelli as President & CEO of Johnston Textiles Inc. With more than 35 years of leadership experience at AF&Y, Honeywell and GE, Mr. Morelli will lead the next stage of Johnston's growth. Mr. Morelli will work with the existing management team to ensure a smooth transition while accelerating customer product development and our expansion.

“With the completion of our consolidation into Southern Phenix and investment to upgrade our manufacturing operation, Johnston Textiles is better positioned to serve existing customers and new markets,” said Lee Hansen. “The investments in our equipment and production facilities demonstrate our commitment to the American textile industry and provide an excellent foundation in supporting our customers and their business success.

Our strategy is to invest in our facilities ahead of our customers' anticipated needs, thereby ensuring that Johnston Textiles is prepared to service the returning and growing “Made in the USA” movement. We're excited to have Jim Morelli on board to take Johnston to the next level.”

Located in Phenix City, AL, Johnston Textiles is a world-class, vertically-integrated manufacturer of value-added textiles (weaving, dying, and finishing). Johnston utilizes its advanced in-house technologies to deliver solutions for even the most complex textile needs while maintaining the "Made in America" label.

Johnston serves a diverse number of industrial, residential and commercial markets, such as automotive, hospitality, office, healthcare, worship and theater seating, decorative upholstery, wall coverings, marine, contract furniture, bedding fabrics, and restaurant chef wear and linens.

Some of Johnston's known brands are Interweave, Enigma, Everston, Wellington, Chef Check, Oceanic, Caress, Omega and Windsor. Johnston also has an independent, fully-certified textile testing business called Textest.
