China's export of silk items to Italy surged by 66.41 percent year-on-year to US$ 62.364 million during the first three quarters of the current year.
Volume-wise, China exported 1430.60 tons of silk commodities during the period, showing an increase of 21.53 percent year-on-year.
Average unit price too saw a rise of 36.93 percent year-on-year to US$ 43.59 per kg.
Imports by Italy accounted for 11.17 percent by volume and 11.63 percent by value of China's total exports of silk products during January to September 2011.
