American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) and its Materials Interest Group (MIG) is promoting innovative product development from a materials perspective with the 7th annual Materials Research Poster Competition. Both graduate and undergraduate students are invited to compete, and entries may be based on design course projects.
The focus areas of this year's competition are:
• Industrial/Technical/Sports Materials
• Medical/Biomedical/Protective Materials and Devices
• Functional/Smart/Nano Materials
Winning entries will be awarded US$1,000 for First Place and US$500 for Second Place in each of the three focus areas. Winners will be announced by June 1, 2012.
Entry forms must be received by February 13, 2012. The final designs are due March 30, 2012. Students who compete must be AATCC members.
