TTF to assist 20 Taiwanese firms boost textile exports

Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) has chosen 20 leading textile exporters for the fourth phase of the “Textile Export Promotion Project”.
The Project aims to help Taiwanese textile sector confront challenges, strengthen the industry's competitiveness in global market, and develop Taiwan into a textile sourcing hub for international firms.
The Project is commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) through its Bureau of Foreign Trade.
Last year, 21 textile producers were selected in the third phase of the Project, which resulted in a jump of 21.37 percent year-on-year growth in the combined exports of these firms during the first 11 months of 2011. This figure is much higher than the average annual growth of 13.92 percent registered by Taiwan's textile industry.
The substantial rise of 21.37 percent in exports of the 21 selected firms is mainly attributed to encouraging policies of TTF that helped create new business opportunities of more than US$ 40 million.
Some of the prominent textile firms that are among the 20 companies selected for the fourth phase of the Project this year are Da Ai Technology Co., Honmyue Enterprise Co., Labtex Co., Li Peng Enterprise Co., Singtex Industrial Co., Taiwan Paiho Ltd., Taiwan Taffeta Fabric Co., Tri Ocean Textile Co. and Wisdom Industrial Co.
