Chinese VSF prices rise in previous week

In the last week, price of cotton linter remained unchanged. Price of cotton linter hovered around RMB 4400/ton to RMB 4600/ton. Market fundamentals remained quite firm; therefore trading offers were in between RMB 4500/ton to RMB 4550/ton.

Price of dissolving pulp too did not change in the last week. Price of dissolving pulp was stable in the range of RMB 9450/ton to RMB 9500/ton in Chinese domestic market. Price of imported dissolving wood pulp was in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1500/ton.

Pulp imported from U.S.A, Canada and Sweden was in the range of US$ 1325/ton to US$ 1475/ton. Counter offers were around US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1400/ton. Pulp imported from Brazil was quoted at US$ 1500/ton and pulp imported from Indonesia was at US$ 1400/ton.

Price of VSF price increased at slow and steady rate during the week. Producers firmly held their offers around RMB 17650/ton to RMB 17900/ton. Earlier price opened at RMB 17650/ton, but with support of demand fundamentals, trading price hovered around RMB 17850/ton.

In Chinese market, offers for imported VSF, hovered in the range of US$ 2.35/kg to US$ 2.45/kg. Market experts believed that price may cross level of US$ 2.55/kg in near future.
