Nusli Wadia led and one of the oldest textile companies in India - Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Ltd posted a net loss of Rs 520.11 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2011-12.
Bombay Dyeing had reported a net profit of Rs 6.7 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenues in the quarter under review grew marginally by 3.52 percent to Rs 4.56 billion against Rs 4.42 billion from a year earlier.
Total expenditure during the quarter increased to Rs 4.66 billion compared to Rs 3.92 billion and raw material costs rose to Rs 3.12 billion against Rs 2.66 billion.
