PX prices continue slide, PTA & MEG rebound

Paraxylene (PX) prices dropped down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices plunged down and were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market went down and were quoted in the range US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton.

PTA prices went up in the Asian countries. In S E Asian market, PTA prices surged up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060 to US$ 1065/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices hovered at US$ 1060/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were assessed in the range RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.

Ethylene prices went down in Asian market. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices plunged down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices dropped down and hovered at US$ 1030/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices surged up and were assessed in the range of 52.50 cents/pound to 53.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined sharply in European international and domestic market, and were offered at US$ 1125/ton and € 900/ton, respectively.

MEG prices went up in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices surged up and were assessed at US$ 965/ton. In China market, MEG prices plunged down in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed stable and were offered in the range RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1420/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices declined marginally and were quoted at RMB 10450/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices declined marginally and hovered in the range of RMB 10125/ton to RMB 10175/ton.

PSF prices went down in Asia. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1550/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were offered at US$ 1450/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 10825/ton to RMB 10875/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were quoted at RMB 10800/ton, RMB 12200/ton and RMB 10900/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY prices dropped down and were assessed at US$ 1455/ton, US$ 1640/ton and US$ 1455/ton, respectively.
