There was a slight rise in synthetic fibre imports by China during the first nine months of the current year.

From January to September, Chinese chemical fibre imports grew by 1.5 percent year-on-year in terms of volume and 0.7 percent year-on-year by value, according to a report released by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles.

The average import price of man-made fibres, however, remained flat compared to the corresponding period of 2011.
