Ethylene prices dip in European domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1565/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1555/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1575/ton to US$ 1580/ton.

PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1120/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased in the range of RMB 8175/ton to RMB 8225/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1185/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1120/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were steady in the range of 51.50 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in European international market at US$ 1200/ton, and went down in domestic market to € 1080/ton.

MEG prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices stayed steady and were assessed at US$ 1070/ton. In China market, MEG prices were steady in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices continued to be stable in the range of RMB 7825/ton to RMB 7875/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1450/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted in the range US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable at RMB 9975/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.

PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1510/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 10525/ton to RMB 10575/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and FDY prices increased and were assessed at RMB 10800/ton and RMB 11025/ton, respectively, while DTY prices remained steady at RMB 12250/ton. In export market, offers for POY and FDY surged and were offered at US$ 1465/ton and US$ 1485/ton, respectively, while DTY prices were steady at US$ 1655/ton.
