China's PTA spot market trends on Dec 24

The purified terephthalic acid (PTA) spot market in China was light on December 24.
PTA spot offers in mainstream market were in the range of 8,550-8,600 yuan/ton, while bids by downstream buyers were in the range of 8,450-8,500 yuan/ton. Negotiations took place in the range of 8,500-8,550 yuan/ton. However, actual talks were limited.
For Taiwan produced PTA, quotations were in the range of US$ 1,160-1,165/ton, downstream manufacturers bid for around US$ 1,150/ton and discussions centred around price of US$ 1,155/ton.
For Korea produced PTA, offers were in the range of US$ 1,150-1,155/ton, buyers bid for price of around US$ 1,140/ton. Few actual talks took place in the range of US$ 1,140-1,145/ton.
