Chinese benzene market to fluctuate in short-term

The domestic benzene market in China remained flat, while prices of imported benzene fell significantly on January 9.
In East China, benzene prices are currently being quoted in the range of 10,600-10,700 yuan/ton. However, most buyers are still in wait-and-watch mood.
In North China, pure benzene prices are in the range of 10,600-10,700 yuan/ton, but here too, trading atmosphere is cautious.
Over the last few days, benzene prices have declined in the US, European and Asian markets.
Meanwhile, the supply of benzene in Chinese domestic market is limited, but the domestic demand is also less and the buyers are showing strong wait-and-watch mood.
Hence, trading activities in Chinese benzene market are likely to remain light and price fluctuation is likely to increase in the short-term.
